The lights inside NRG Stadium were still glowing long after most of Houston had gone home.

For new Texans head coach QC, that was exactly how he wanted it.

With the 87th season of the Madden Online League approaching, QC sat inside his office studying the roster, playbook, and upcoming competition. He knew taking over Houston wouldn’t be easy, but he also knew the Texans had enough talent to become a problem for the rest of the league.

“This isn’t about rebuilding,” QC told his staff. “We’re here to compete right now.”

The biggest question was at quarterback. C.J. Stroud would be given the keys to QC’s offense, and the new coach was determined to build a system that played to his strengths. The plan was simple: protect the football, establish the running game, attack favorable matchups, and let Houston’s playmakers go to work.

But QC’s biggest expectations were on defense.

During practice, he constantly challenged the Texans to play faster and more aggressively. Every missed tackle was corrected. Every blown coverage was reviewed. Every turnover was celebrated.

QC wanted opponents to understand one thing when they saw Houston on the schedule:
