COMMISSIONER'S NOTE
As we all know, we have finally started a normal season of the MOF, and here is my belated Hall of Fame induction speech.
First and foremost, I want to thank Jeff Dypko for his continuous effort and passion in keeping this league going — even through some of the toughest situations he has had to overcome over the years. There is no doubt we have had our differences and did not always see eye to eye on issues in the past, but I truly believe without him there would be no MOF, and that’s a fact. Over time, I have grown to appreciate all the effort he puts into this league, and that’s a big part of what makes the MOF the best league I have ever played in.
After about 10 years and 15 seasons in the MOF, I realized it’s not all about winning — it’s about relieving the stresses we all face in our everyday lives by having the opportunity to sit down and play a competitive Madden football game after a long day at work. Most of us are no longer able to strap on the pads and take the field, and the MOF provides me with the closest thing to real football — other than coaching — that my body can still handle.
Beyond the field, the MOF has given me the opportunity to meet many friends along the way. If I lived in the same town as some of the coaches in the MOF, I would love to sit down, have a beer, and shoot the shit, because words cannot describe the incredible football community the MOF has brought into my life. I have met many great people along the way.
